Title For Birthday Party
Styles in articles
14 published in veaseademas that have always seemed curious length the many titles in academic articles , so I'll take this opportunity to comment on what I've always drawn the attention of the securities, the difference in writing styles that can escontrar, at least in the field of library and information science. What what I mean? who has seen an article in English, other than translation, with a title as flashy as Dreaming the Future: funky ideas for public library management ? No choice but to read it but not remotely usually deal with this issue.
Months later I read another title even more striking, though a little closer to my interests Digital Library: Asteroids, Moore's Law and the Star Alliance * Ann Okerson translated into English. Especially in the latter, the metaphors and language fast and away from the technical communication as well as inform and entertain. Recalls the style used in the blogosphere, less academic than usual or Alfons Cornella, of the few in English that I know that this line is a little presentation of content and surprises for Star Trek mention in an article in librarianship. Indeed, in 2003 and is already talking about weblogs as a source of information that libraries should not ignore. That we are behind in Spain.
See if someone takes more features in the titles of publications. Gentlemen, that the force be with you. Vanesa
