From Solidarity with Palestine-Valladolid we convey our deep dissatisfaction with the programming, the 27th of September, Day "Israel and the European Union ', organized by the Institute of European Studies University of Valladolid and Spain-Israel Solidarity Association, while we request the suspension of it for the reasons then expose them.
1 .- Spain-Israel Solidarity Association, organized jointly with the Institute Day, is a legitimate entity of the Zionist ideology which implements the State of Israel and resulting in the occupation and theft of Palestinian land, the subjugation of its people, the constant violation of their individual and collective rights, the discrimnación legal, economic and social development of Palestinians with Israeli citizenship, breach of international law, etc.
To check, there is only access to its website (www.asei.net) and check its contents: justification of the murders and rapes carried out by Israel, magnification of the resistance actions taken by the Palestinian people and concealment of the continuing attacks, including killings and torture "by Israel, 'normalization' of the policy of fait accompli as the annexation of East Jerusalem or the settlements, condemned by the international community, including the Government of Spain .. .
sometimes fall squarely in the Arabophobia, as in an article claiming that the Arabic language is indecipherable, so their learning brains were overloaded and eventually disconnected. Nor hesitate to justify the killing of more than 1,400 -900 of them civilians and about 400 children, in Gaza between December 2008 and January 2009 or the siege that Israel submitted to the Strip, or the murder of nine activists of the Freedom Flotilla or defamation of individuals participating in this expedition, which qualify as "pirates." Sometimes verging on the absurd, as in its founding manifesto asserting that "the intellectual and political defense," the State of Israel has the same order that the defense of the whole humanity "or that the defense of Israel in Spain" has the same universal goal that the statement constitucionalde Cortes of Cadiz, 1812.
We firmly believe that the University of Valladolid, an institution characterized by the defense of human rights principles and the strength democrácticos and intellectual honesty as the cornerstones of the debate and controversy can not collaborate with an entity such as Spain, Israel Solidarity Association, which advocates a seamless state next contravening those provisions for over 60 years.
2 .- Both the Conference program and the profile of many of the participants show that the main issue when addressing any aspect of Israel (the subjugation of the Palestinian people and the systematic violation of international law) not be analyzed in no time.
This absence is more serious if we consider that the Seminar will examine the relationship between Israel and Europe, where international law, Human Rights and Democracy are the fundamental pillars of the European Union.
For these reasons we request the cancellation of this Day and any collaboration with Spain-Israel Solidarity Association. And for the sake of academic excellence and intellectual rigor we dare to propose another day on the relations between Israel and Europe that affects fundamental aspects mentioned: the subjugation of the Palestinian people, the violation of individual rights and collective and internaciional breaks the law.
